In October, we invite our guests to taste a unique selection of Renner from the producer Schloss Gobelsburg. Renner 2009 The soil at the foot of the Gaisberg has generous amounts of loess and reveals many sandy and stony locations as it becomes deeper. Geologically, there are mainly deposits of Gföhler Gneiss on the Gaisberg. The vineyard dates most likely to the 1950s and was planted with original Veltliner vines,which give the wine its distinctive character. Notes of hazelnut and orange peel aromas on the highly distinctive, seductive nose. Round and full-bodied with a lively animated side and a minerally, slightly salty finish. Schloss Gobelsburg Is the oldest winery in the Danube region with a documented history back to 1171. Since January 1996 the Château and winery is managed by family Michael Moosbrugger. The vineyards from the 35 ha estate are located on the slopes and terraces of the oldest vinyard sites around Langenlois. Nowadays the winemakers are interested in producing authentic and noble wines from different terroirs.
